Access Audits

Access Audits are a perfect starting point when looking at accessibility and one of my favourite parts of my work!

They provide an insight into what you are currently doing well and clear actions of what you can do to improve.

I have been delivering audits since 2022 for whole sites as well as for specific events and have a keen eye for identifying key ways that you can make your site more accessible.

My access audits will have a specific emphasis on access for neurodivergent people, however other elements of accessibility may also be mentioned.

Some of the areas I can look at in an audit are:

- Access Information available online,
- Sensory environment,
- Welcome,
- Navigation,
- Interpretation,
- Events,

- Workplace environment,
- Learning programmes.

What is included in an access audit?

- A planning meeting to decide on areas of focus,
- A site visit completed by Emily,
- A report detailing what is working well and what could be improved,

- Suggested recommendations,
- An action plan of short, medium and long term actions,
- A follow up meeting to go through the next steps,
- A check in to seeing how you are getting on.

Please contact me to discuss bespoke access audits for your site.
